Ok, so I've been getting really excited about living in the city. But because I'm a lazy bum and never really venture out into the cold, I'm feeling the need to get off of my ass. Last night was a night to investigate the infamous 'L' (elevated regional rail) in Philly and WOW. So much easier than I thought it would be. So now I feel like some big Urban kid, but please try not to let on that I've got "suburbanite" tattooed on my forehead. It is my hope that eventually that will fade. Anyway, this has been in my head for a while now. Finally took a minute and a nice new Vodka drink (I'm obsessed with Rain Organics' Red Hibiscus Grape Vodka mixed equal parts with XXX Vitamin water and Jones' cream soda...for those of you adventurers out for a new really chill sweet but floral mixed drink)--and I decided, "tonight. Tonight I will just wrap that one up." I heard Leonard Cohen articulate in some interview that songwriting can be a month- or even year-long process. This song has been itching at me for a few months. And it's funny, because it's really not that long or interesting. But it has some meanings to me, I just needed last night I think to finish it.
