TORONTO, ONTARIO (JANUARY 6, 2009) DANCING WITH THE STARS The Tour is coming to Toronto on Monday, January 12th, 2009 and bringing a special opportunity: The Samsung Eternity® Dancing with the Stars Tour - Kids Ballroom Challenge! The action began on Saturday, January 3rd at 12:00noon when a local qualifying event was held at the Big Bird's Ballroom, 700 Dundas Street East, Mississauga, where 10 semi-finalist junior/child couples were selected, and will go on to be part of the Samsung Eternity® Kids Ballroom Challenge competition during the DANCING WITH THE STARS performance at Air Canada Centre on Monday, January 12th. The three adjudicators, Alan Armsby, Viviana Nomberto and Katya Stytsenko had their work cut out for them in choosing from an amazing and diverse group of kids couples. Originally 18 couples where registered for the preliminary auditions and 10 where chosen. On the night of the show, the semi-finalists will perform and be judged by a professional dancer from the shows cast. The two final couples will dance the Jive or Cha Cha in front of the sold-out audience. The winning couple will earn the title of SAMSUNG ETERNITY® DANCING WITH THE STARS LOCAL DANCE CHALLENGE CHAMPION and receive the official trophy.
