martinsville flood-the aftermath.
well. it's been 9 days since the flood first hit, but the ramifications are still being realized.....i spoke to one of the members of the fire dept, and he said over 250 homes have been condemned...no longer fit to live in....many business were also affected....and countless lives have been forever transformed by this act of mother nature.....i drove around town today and was humbled by one town's resilience......(that's me playing flute in the background...sorry it's kinda poor accustics, the microphone i have gets really bad feedback)

displaced by the flood in martinsville. this photo was taken on ohio street, after all the torrential rain, this poor mouse was just trying to find some higher ground...the background music is me, playing the english folk song suite, the 2nd movement "bonny boy"..orginally written for oboe, i transposed it for penny whistle, just so i could become the pied piper of martinsville..
