Introducing S.V.S.

'Severe Vain Syndrum' (refer as S.V.S.), an upcoming act made up by the new breed of KL jazz chameleons, producer Vincent Ong and horn-man Shazee Ishak are ready to hit the street with their brand new sound. S.V.S's blend of unique electronic sounds and live instrumentations set the night to the right vibes. A generic reference point of their style would be 'Nu-jazz', the electronic cousin of acid jazz. Apart from the common manipulation of loops in various rhythms like dance, hip hop, funk and house favored by many deejays, this two-men team push the boundary of music creation by adding sporadic ideas on the spot. Making music in this manner add challenges to both their composition skills and performance proficiency as there is 'no limit' in structure, form, tonality or even logic. The audience's response is usually taken into play. In short, their music is inspired by everything that goes on around them and to be expressed simultaneously. SVS takes looping to the next level. While jazz producer Vincent takes the lead role with his axe (guitar), Shazee, the usual frontman steps back to be the maestro behind the buttons, creating his own loops with sound samples, and blowing his horn literally. Other times, SVS takes an unconventional approach and resides in minimal sphere where every note played reflects a single moment. With a great enthusiasm, S.V.S is ready to explore the future sound. Vincent, being a prolific bassist and guitarist, compliments Shazee's eclectic palettes. Together they form an unholy alliance of versatile contemporary musicians.
