Ive always wondered what happened to the guy in the doorway, and what god-awful circumstances put him there. It turns out the picture was taken by Jean Guichard a French photographer at the La Jument Lighthouse in France.Jean Guichard is best known for his explosive Wave photograph of a lighthouse off the coast of Brittany, France, showing a keeper at the door about to be engulfed by a titanic wave. The photograph is truly one of the most recognizable lighthouse photographs in the world. When first seeing the famous photograph, most people assume that the lighthouse keeper must have been killed. In fact, the keepers had been living in fear of death during the 1989 storm, and at one point had taken refuge in the lantern room of the tower. Waves the night before had smashed through the lower windows of the tower, causing the structure to flood, washing away everything in its path including the television, table, chairs, coffee maker and even the refrigerator. The keepers it turns out ,and not suprisingly, were waiting to be rescued by helicopter. As Jean Guichards helicopter approached the tower he was unaware that the keepers were waiting for a rescue helicopter. Guichard was simply there to take photographs of the waves pounding the structure. The keepers heard the sound of the helicopter and naturally assumed it was the rescue helicopter. One of the keepers opened the lower door of the structure and as he looked up at the helicopter and realized that it was not the rescue chopper, he also realized that a giant wave was about to engulf the tower. He immediately turned about and pulled the door closed behind him. Had he not done so at that second, he surely would have been killed. While all this was happening, Jean Guichard was busy taking photographs as fast as he could click the camera, thus capturing on film the most dramatic action shots ever taken at a lighthouse.

MAKING KAYDEN SMILE AGAIN Big day out for little battler
LITTLE Kayden Forbes has had a lot of growing up to do in recent months. On Good Friday this year, the shy five- year-old was diagnosed with leukaemia and every day since has been a battle. Yesterday Kayden's troubles were forgotten for a time when two of his most cherished dreams came true. A ride in a fire engine, then a flight in a helicopter were all it took to put the smile back on Kayden's face. It has been a rough journey for Kayden and his family since his diagnosis. After five blood transfusions and countless tests and medical procedures, Kayden will soon go back to hospital for his next round of chemotherapy. All the while, his family anxiously waits for news of a compatible cord blood donor and the transplant that could save his life. His father, Corey Forbes, said Kayden's illness has been tough on the entire family. "Financially, things have been very tough, not to mention physically and emotionally," he said. The father of four, who was working full time for a food distributor, was eventually forced to leave work to devote more time to the care of his son. It may be a dark time for the Forbes family, but yesterday all their troubles seemed forgotten when the Tasmania Fire Service, the Australian Army and Tasmanian Helicopters teamed up to make Kayden's dreams come true. It is not every day a little boy gets the chance to switch on the siren in a real fire engine or ride in the front seat of a helicopter, but Kayden did just that with younger sister Jazlyn by his side. An Army Reserve soldier, Mr Forbes said the Devonport- based 44th Transport Squadron had been a pillar of strength ever since Kayden's diagnosis. "They always said if he needs anything or if there is anything they could do to help they would," he said. "And now they are helping to make his dreams come true."

Jessica is trying to get back with Kevin when he tells her he has a girlfriend. She gets angry and leaves. Emilia goes after Joe, but he lies and says that he just went through a bad breakup. She doesnt believe him so Jillian covers for him saying they just broke up. Emilia runs off. Outside, Nick explains who Emilia and Jessica are and that they were dating Joe and Kevin but then cheated on them. Nick knew they were bad news but no one listened to him and thats why Joe and Kevin locked him out of the house that day cause he was trying to warn them. They caught them cheating and broke up with them the next day. Emilia yells at a girl named Cassie to go get her water, and Joe follows. He finds out that Cassie is Emilias sister who has essentially been made to be nonexistent since her parents sent her off to boarding school at the age of 7 and never spoke of her. She got kicked out recently so she had to be the family servant. Joe really likes her, but then Emilia walks in and yells at her to leave. She tells Joe that Cassie comes with a lot of baggage and tells him to stay away from her. He tells her...
