Chapter 11 Copyright© 2008 InnerNerd™ Productions It was finally time to pick Joe up for church on Sunday. And then hang out with him afterwards! How on Earth did Shannon get so lucky? She had no idea. But here she was driving out to North Kansas City to pick him up. She got there and his apartment complex was so much nicer than hers. I mean, well duh! But she drove around and couldn't figure out which building was his. She saw an older lady walking across the street and decided to ask her. Shannon: Excuse me! Could you tell me where building G is, please? Bella: It's right over there, honey. *She pointed towards Joe's building.* Are you Joseph's friend Shannon? Shannon: *She was kinda shocked the lady knew, but then she figured that this must be Bella. Apparently, Joe hung out with her sometimes and he told Shannon about how nice she was.* I am! And you must be Bella! *She smiled at the woman.* It's so nice to meet you! Bella: Likewise! *She walked up to Shannon's car and shook her hand.* It's so nice of you to show him around. It's really good for him to get away from his crazy life and be normal for awhile. *She winked at Shannon, and they both seemed to have come to an understanding.* Shannon: *She smiled again and almost couldn't believe that Bella recognized Joe too! But then, she must have Grandchildren...* I completely agree. Bella: Well, I won't keep you. You two have fun. Shannon: Thank you! We will! *She drove to the front of Joe's building and parked. As she knocked on his door, barely two seconds passed before he opened it. He was anxious to get out of the house and go somewhere besides work or the grocery store for once.* Joe: Hey! Lets go! Shannon: Well, don't I get to see your apartment? Joe: Really? Aren't we gonna be late? Shannon: No! We have plenty of time! Just lemme in, dude! Dang! Joe: FINE! Come on... Shannon: Oh, well... if you're gonna be pissy about it, then I don't wanna see. Joe: Ok, ok... *He cleared his throat and started to speak with a British accent.* Would you like to come in for some tea and cookies? Shannon: *She laughed and nodded her head.* Yes, please. You betta not be lying! *She walked in and it was so nice! Kinda messy here and there, but she wasn't surprised. She's always heard Nick was the clean one.* Joe: Well, I think I've got some oreo's and there's iced tea in the fridge. But, I put too much sugar in, so you don't want it. Shannon: Oh, well... thank you. But I'll just wait until later. I had a big breakfast. So anyway, kick ass apartment, Joe! Joe: Think so? My brothers helped me set it up and pick everything out. Shannon: Awesome! *She went and sat on the couch to see how comfortable it was.* Dude! I could pass out on this couch in a second! Joe: I pretty much sleep on that thing more than my bed. *Shannon was sitting where Joe sleeps!* I've been having a bit of anxiety or something since I moved. Shannon: REALLY?! Wow... I do that too! It's weird. Like, sometimes, I just can NOT sleep in my bed! Joe: It feels funny. Shannon: It DOES! You miss your family though, don't you? Joe: *He put his hands over his face and sighed really loud before sitting down next to Shannon. He leaned back and looked up at the ceiling.* Yeah... but I can't go back. Not yet, anyway. I mean... *He turned his head to look at Shannon, which sent chills down her spine.* I think I kinda like it here. Shannon: You THINK?! *She raised an eyebrow at him and smiled.* Joe: Ok, I KNOW I do. *He smiled at her and got up.* We should go now. I'll show you the rest of my apartment and then we should leave. Shannon: Ok! *She got up and Joe quickly showed her what the rest of his apartment looked like, which she thought he, Kevin and Nick did a really good job decorating it.* After the tour, they went to church and Joe felt really comfortable there. Shannon however, fell asleep about 3 times, each time waking up to a jab in her side from Joe. She couldn't help it, she relished any opportunity to dream about him, and church was perfect for that! 70 views, 15 comments and 5 rates for the next chapter! =]]
