The Huw Weldon Lecture: Look Back in Laughter by Bill Cotton OBE Pt1
On a late Saturday night in 1989, Channel 4 showed this lecture, given by BBC Executive Bill Cotton about TV comedy. The trailers made light of the fact that they were showing BBC clips on a commercial channel ("They wouldn't!";"Oh, yes, they would!"). The independant production company that made this programme, Noel Gay Television, had Bill Cotton on the board. Huw Weldon hosted a children's talent/showcase programme called All Your Own, and here guests Jimmy Page, who went on to form Led Zepellin. Another of Bill Cotton's best moments was commissioning Dad's Army, still being repeated and having episodes restored to this day.

Cavafy Poem 73: Kaisarion
'Kaisarion' is poem no. 73 in the Cavafy canon. Pronunciation, like spelling, is the very devil. People speaking the same language sometimes fail to understand one another. When ancient Greek and Latin meet English, chaos ensues. The Romans said not 'Hail Zizar!' as in the English version, but 'Ar-way Kizer' (Ave Caesar). The Germans got it right with their Kaiser. The son of Julius Caesar and Cleopatra was called not 'Size-arion' (Caesarion) but Kaisarion. By August, 30BC, Julius Caesar, Cleopatra and Mark Antony were all dead and Kaisarion was the nominal ruler of Egypt. The invading Octavius Caesar, later called Augustus by the respectful Romans, who was a 'Caesar' because he had been adopted by Julius, coming into the presence of the boy pharaoh Kaisarion at Alexandria, is said to have spoken the words (referring to himself and the boy) "Two Caesars is one too many!" Kaisarion was murdered. So we drift back (drift back from the present moment in the year 2008AD) to that same city of Alexandria around the year 1916-1918AD and to Cavafy's flat in the Rue Lepsius where, book on knee, he is himself drifting fondly back to the year 30BC and recalling the to him magic being Kaisarion. Kontrollera innehållet Vi börjar med att packa upp och kontrollera innehållet i låda 1 "Höger dörr". Se markeringen på etiketten. Här finner du: 1. Tätningslist dörr/magnetlist 2. Väggprofil 3. Box med monteringsdetaljer 4. Monteringsanvisning 5. Svallskydd - golvprofil 6. Glasdörr - höger 7. Dörrhandtag Observera att dörrhandtaget ligger packad i emballagets frigolit. Här packar vi upp låda 2 "Vänster dörr". Se markering på etiketten Här finner du: 1.Väggprofil 2.Glasdörr -vänster 3.Släplist Obs! Säkerhetsglas är känsligt för kant- och hörnstötar, skydda därför hörn och kanter, och montera inte skadat glas. Montage av väggprofil För att påböja montaget mäter vi upp 15 mm mindre än duschens mått på yttersidans profil. i detta fall med en 800 x 800 mm duschhörna blir avståndet 785 mm Ta en plastbit ur fack 17 - den skall placeras under väggprofilen. Markera för borrhål i väggprofilen Här använder vi vattenpass för att loda profilen. Med profilen i lod kan du markera för borrhålen. Borra och täta Vi borrar med en kakelborr. I det här fallet behöver vi inte använda slagborr. Obs! Använd skyddsglasögon och hörselskydd när du borrar i kakel. Genom att tejpa undviker man frasade borrkanter. Ta nu pluggen ur fack 1 ur boxen, täta därefter med silikon för att uppnå en fullgod våtrumstätning. Upprepa momentet för varje hål. Nu kan du skruva fast väggprofilen med medföljande skruv ur fack 3 Notera gummilisten på profilens baksida som tar upp ojämnheter i väggbeklädnaden. Kontrollera att profilen är i lodrätt läge. Verktyg du behöver för att utföra service på Triomont XS - Polygrip - Skruvmejsel Demontera tryckplattan Vi börjar med att trycka in den svarta tappen mitt under tryckplattan och lyfter av ramen. Lossa på spolknapparna. Lossa sedan på låsskruvarna. När vi lossat på tryckplattan kan vi se tryckstängerna och vattenanslutningen. Det kan underlätta att lossa spolstängerna från bryggan, men det är dock inte nödvändigt. Stäng av vattnet Nu stänger vi av vattnet. Ventilen och kopplingen bör tätas med lin eller gängtejp. I detta moment demonterar vi vattenanslutningen för att lättare åskådliggöra hela momentet. 1. Lossa bryggan genom att klämma på sidorna och böja uppåt 2. Nu kan du lossa och lyfta ur bottenventilen. 3. Koppla loss vattenanslutningen. Här ser du packningen med integrerad sil. Demontera påfyllningsventilen 1. Genom att dra hållaren för flottören mot dig lossar du påfyllningsventilen 2. Nu lossar vi fästet för påfyllningsventilen Återmontage av påfyllningsventilen Här visar vi återmontage av påfyllningsventilen 1. Här ser vi hur man monterar fast påfyllningsventilen i den blå hållaren. 2. Nu fäster vi påfyllningspaketet i cisternens fästpunkter 3. Nu återansluter vi vattenanslutningen, kom ihåg packningen Återmontage av bottenventil Här visar vi återmontage av bottenventilen. 1. Montera den blå hållaren I fästet I cisternen 2. Sooo this is my birthday gift to XxxxPiratesxxxX!!! Haha! Love you hun and I hope you have an awesome day...two days before me lol! Ok, now for the story. Hermione has lost Harry and Ron in the war and she tries to escape her feeling of abandonment by wandering far away from Hogwarts until she finds herself in Forks, Washington(how convenient). Anyway, Bella is also dealing with a loss but instead of death, her boyfriend Edward, a vampire for those who aren't familiar with Twilight, leaves her because he thinks he is to dangerous for her. Hermione runs into Bella and quickly falls for her. Bella, hating the idea of being alone and needing a way to fill her void of Edward, starts a relationship with Hermione and in turn, falling for her as well. Hermione and Bella are happy together at first but Bella's hole for Edward begins to pain her again, to the point where she begins hurting herself. Hermione tries to get Bella to stop and to tell her that she is going to have to deal with a life without Edward but Bella can't seem to get it. After Bella jumps off a cliff and almost drowns(Hermione saves her btw), Hermione finally realizes that she will never be able to get on without Edward. Coming up with a plan, Hermione goes back with her time turner to the moment right when Edward tells Bella that he is leaving. As Edward walks away, Hermione catches up with him to tell him that he can't leave Bella. Edward agrees to stay and Hermione travels back to the present. She comes back to find that Bella and Edward are together and happy. Hermione, at first, is sad about this but remembers that this is the only way that Bella will truly be happy. Before moving on to her next destination, Hermione crashes the Forks High prom where Bella and Edward smiles at her for keeping them together(obviously, Edward told Bella the story). ''One thing I'm not gonna do is chase staying alive,'' Swayze told Barbara Walters in his first interview since the diagnosis last year. "You spend so much time chasing staying alive, you won't live." The 56-year-old-actor, beloved for his role in the film ''Dirty Dancing,'' said he and wife Lisa Niemi still find time to dance together. And a few months ago, on the spur of the moment, they decided to renew their vows. The interview took place at his California ranch.
