You'll control your boarder's body with the thumb sticks, whereas the left and right triggers determine what you'll do with each hand during a grab. Pulling down on the right stick will take your character into a crouch, and the snappier you pop it up at the lip of a jump, the more air you'll get. Then, while flying through the air, you can twist with the left stick and tweak your grab with the right stick. Grinds are simply a matter of landing on the rail in the ideal position; there's no dedicated grind button. As you progress through the game, you'll be automatically classified as either a stylish boarder or a hucker. Stylish riders are the ones who go for slow rotations in the air, making their jumps look smooth and effortless. Huckers go all-out, jamming as much rotation as they can into each and every jump, crouching long before they take off to maximize lift. This classification system is like a branching path that will unlock new talents depending on which side you go down. Huckers will find speed boosts on the slopes, whereas stylish riders can earn the ability to unstrap a binding to do one-foot airs. Like in most action sports games, the ultimate goal in career mode is to be sponsored and get your name out via stylish footage. In terms of sponsorships, the game offers 30 real-world snowboarding brands ranging from Burton to Dragon to lesser-known, obscure companies. Your sponsor sends you on a media tour through the game's five mountains, having you take footage of yourself in the style of Absinthe Films, the snowboard video company that Stoked has teamed up with for the game. You can also take photos any time you want, no matter if you're in career mode or just free-riding. This extends to multiplayer, as well. Although they're still determining the maximum number of players for each gameplay mode, you can camp out beneath a jump at any time and...

John Frusciante - Unreachable Music Video (36th Chamber)
This is a music video for John Frusciante's newest song titled Unreachable, from his record The Empyrean. I cut it together myself, using footage from the film titled The 36th Chamber of Shaolin and the freeware program VirtualDub. The 36th Chamber of Shaolin (1978) tells the story of San Te (portrayed by Gordon Liu) - a young aspiring student who's family and friends are suppressed and murdered by the Manchu government. Tired of being defenseless, San Te flees to the Shaolin temple to train in kung fu, so he can return and fight the evil government. He finds that becoming the best requires and extraordinary amount of patience and tenacity. By pausing and reflecting on his mistakes and extending his training methods beyond what is normally done, he climbs the ladder and becomes the quickest student to ever master the art. The heights he reached in his kung fu may have appeared unreachable at at times to him, as he fell down on the way and was laughed at several times by colleagues, but he ignored that and sought mastery regardless, ultimately defeating one of the masters' sword styles (seen in the end of the video). He only reached this through grit and determination, and by thinking outside the box, as they say. I chose to pair this type of video up with John's music because I feel that similarly to kung fu, it focuses on relaxing your body and mind allowing you to tap into the energy deep within you -- your Qi -- which I see as a power released by the soul. I hope you enjoy. One last thing: thanks to John for making music from your heart and not for your wallet. It means so much to all of your fans, and since I haven't met you personally, if you are reading this, I'd like to send you a big bear hug for creating music that allows us to explore the deepest areas in our minds.
