My own personal experience with my faith and personal relationships.

Hermine (Karina Alfaro) goes to visit her ex-husband John (Joe Taylor) at their adult son Thoma's house (Jacob). She has coped with life through faith. John has coped with his emptiness through heroin. This is a story about the similarities and the non-duality of being. I deconstruct and play with the double entendre of 'sweet jesus' as a plea for the audience to think outside their preconceptions about what 'sweet jesus' "should mean". I wanted to explore the true journey of compassion and unconditional love as a lonely road influenced and informed by religion... However, also how religion and our means of coping with life (drugs, ideas, ritual etc) is limited to knowledge. Wisdom - on the other hand is experience-based. What is the wisdom of compassion? What is the wisdom of being?
